When the Birds Stopped Singing

This is a big week for me as I launch my second book. It’s a magical fantasy story about Caroline Howard, a young girl who experiences a traumatic childhood. In the forests of Colorado, she meets Serena, a wood nymph. Secretly, she instructs Caroline in different spiritual modalities to help the girl as she struggles with abuse, deathly sicknesses, and bullying,

Serena introduces Caroline to her spirit animals, takes her on journeys to the lower and upper worlds, and imparts the true wisdom of God and the universe. With Serena’s help, Caroline uncovers the purpose of her current life’s incarnation and discovers love along the way.

This book went through many different drafts. It began as a memoir, and with my agent's recommendation, I transformed it into a book of fiction. I had never written fiction before, and discovering how was an extensive learning experience. I will continue to explore writing fiction, and I look forward to writing a follow-up book to “When the Bird Stopped Singing” once I’ve had a chance to gather feedback from reviewers.

“When the Birds Stopped Singing” is dedicated to all the children who have suffered abuse and, most importantly, those who have lived in foster care. I was thrilled when the US Review of Books stated, “In many ways, Trippe is the Serena to the countless Carolines reading her work.” I continue to create awareness of trauma in children and empower women to reach their full potential.

The book is available online at Amazon and Barnes & Noble. I will soon be out at book signings around Arizona, and I look forward to signing your copy.

Remember to send me any questions or comments about the book on my postings, website, or TikTok!
